This unique set is composed of three different colors of porcelain; the largest is black porcelain, unglazed, the middle is white porcelain, glazed in matte white and the smallest is made of orange porcelain with no glaze.
These bowls were wheel thrown and fired rim down against the kiln shelf. As they shrink during firing the drag against the surface causes the pieces to go slightly out of round for a more organic, often geometric shaped rim.
