6.25"wide x 2"high
This piece has a very small, elegant foot which lends an impression that the bowl is floating on a surface. This highly textured white glaze looks like Lichen close-up, or a dry puddle in the dessert. A very thick glaze I mix up myself, that begins to crack even as it dries on the piece. Firing makes the effect more pronounced. The exterior is bare, smooth, white porcelain.
Porcelain clay, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and all glazes are made in my studio from dry materials.
My work is design driven, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart. (This glaze is not means for use with food and is best handled gently.)
