The rich, lovely, dark olive green is made by dipping the piece in two different glazes and letting them melt together in the glaze firing. The results are so luscious! this glaze does run, however, which is part of what makes it so pretty, and sometimes pieces weld themselves to the shelf and have to be 'chipped off' after unloading. There is some loss when I use this glaze, but it's worth it. This one stopped in time.
Porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio.
