This rich, lovely, dark olive green is made by dipping the piece in two different glazes and letting them melt together in the glaze firing. The results are so luscious! They do run, however, and sometimes weld themselves to the shelf and have to be 'chipped off' after unloading. So there is some loss when I use this glaze, but it's worth it. You can see on this piece how amazing the drips can look when they stop 'just in time'!
Porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio.
