A fabulous glaze experiment that will no longer be repeated. A lovely translucent blue and an opaque, metallic black on the interior, with a bare porcelain exterior.
Just a few pieces in this run with a glaze recipe that could yield amazing or terrible results. Often the way it is when I experiment with a new found glaze recipe-I never know what the result will be. You can rarely duplicate someone else's glaze technique, clay or kiln conditions and there are so many variables. Sometimes beautiful magic happen and sometime not. The chances of great pieces in this glaze were less than the failures so no more will be made. The few that were great were really luscious.
