Colored Porcelains

I recycle all my trimmings and excess clay pieces and try not to waste anything in the studio. I add powdered stains to the dried clay when I rehydrate it then process it and create individual, wheel thrown vessels from colored porcelain. Each piece is one of a kind, like all my work. The surface is carefully crafted, sanded and refined as most of these works are unglazed. Just the bare, smooth, glowing surface of the porcelain. The black was my first colored porcelain, followed by the deep yellow, which I glaze as the results are so dramatic!
I continue to experiment with new colors and really love them all!
