Matte turquoise over white glaze. Hard to capture in a photograph but as these glazes melted in the firing at almost 2300 degrees the mix yielded turquoise, grey and pink tones!
Porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio. I have tried many times to recreate this glaze result with minimal success. Only a few pieces turned out this wonderful. It's all in the alchemy of ceramics and part of the magic.
My work is form focused, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart. (Not meant for food.)
