This rich, lovely, dark olive green is made by combining 2 glazes and letting them melt together in the glaze firing. The results are so luscious! They do run, however, which can result in beautiful drama, like this bowl, or a doomed piece, welded to the kiln shelf.
This bowl has a fantastic "storm" in the bottom where the two glazes interact and pool in a light, swirling, maelstrom! This bowl is a real favorite.
Porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio.
My work is form-focused, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart. (though this glaze has been tested food and dishwasher safe.)
