This piece is 6.75"wide x 3.25"high. This is a new glaze for my studio called Oil Spot Bronze. It is a traditional type of glaze dating back to the Tang Dynasty. The pattern on the interior surface is consistent and rich, made up of gloss and satin areas in the glaze. The exterior of the bowl is smooth, white, bare porcelain.
Like all my work it was thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio.
My work is primarily decorative, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart. (Not meant for food)
