This piece is 6"wide x 2.75"high. An elegant bowl with a luscious, burnt caramel colored glaze inside and out. And a small, deep golden puddle in the center. This glaze can develop pretty striations as the glaze melts in the final firing, evident in this piece. The rim was altered after I trimmed the bowl and lends a really lovely shape to the piece.
Like all my work it is porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is made from dry materials in my studio.
My work is primarily decorative, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart.
