Footless, nesting pieces. Separated, they will move and wobble with a light touch.
These bowls were fired rim down against the kiln shelf. As they shrink during firing the drag against the surface causes the pieces to go slightly out of round for a more organic shaped rim.
Bare, smooth, black porcelain, with a lovely glow to the surface and smaller, matte white glazed, white porcelain.
I make the black porcelain in my studio from recycled trimmings and mason stain.
