This piece is 4.75"wide x 2.25"high. Glazed in Crystalline White Matte with a ring of Manganese painted inside. The manganese melts and runs with the glaze in firing to create a very dramatic and beautiful combination. The glaze on this piece is consistently satin matte, in a deep, warm ivory. This bowl was thrown quite thin and is wonderfully delicate with a small foot.
Like all my work it is porcelain, thrown on the pottery wheel and fired to 2267 degrees. Each piece is one of a kind and every glaze is mixed from dry materials in my studio.
My work is primarily decorative, meant to be enjoyed by the eye and the heart. (not for use with food)
